WHAT TO EXPECT
One of our designers will meet with you in the showroom. The designer will go through your plans and discuss the room in detail with you. You will need to have architectural plans preferably at a scale of 1:50, with ceiling heights and any additional information such as elevations and furniture layouts. Photographs are also very useful. We hope to organise an appointment with a lighting designer within 5 working days and have the plans back to you within a further 5 working days.
Following the meeting the designer will mark up the architectural plans and produce a full specification of all the fittings, lamps, transformers, drivers and controls required. Ancillary notes are given for each circuit, together with the positioning and installation details of each fitting. Mood boards are also included to give you an idea of the effects, too. For maximum flexibility, dimmer or scene-setting details are included where required. We also allow for decorative lights, which you have sourced, in the scheme.
With each scheme, we provide a table showing Building Regulations Part L compliancy which can be submitted to your building control officer. However it is the client’s responsibility to confirm the degree of energy efficient cy that is required prior to the us commencing any work.
When you are ready, our experienced sales team are on hand to take your order and answer any technical questions you may have to ensure a smooth installation. All orders are bagged up on a circuit by circuit basis for ease of installation on site.
Our One Room Design Service is subject to availability and is strictly limited to one room only. It is not available on dual purpose / open plan spaces, new builds, listed buildings, rooms with concrete or pitched ceilings, conservatories, swimming pools or gardens where our normal design service hourly rates would apply. If a site visit or revisions are required, normal hourly rates will apply.
